KABUL (The Killid) – Head of the Central Bank Khalilullah Sediq resigned from his position due to, as he describes, health issues.
Sediq gained trust of the Afghan parliament short after he was assigned for the post by President Ashraf Ghani in 2013.
His resignation comes at a time the Afghani currency dropped against US dollar as never in history of Afghanistan before.
Khalilullah Sediq, son of Mohammad Sediq, was born in 1328 of Afghan calendar in Kabul. He gained his high school degree at one of the prestigious school in Kabul, the Habibya High School, and major degree in economy at Kabul University.
He has over 30 years of experience in banking at Central Bank of the country in several positions.
