BAGHLAN (The Killid) – At least 35 captives were freed from the Taliban prison, Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement.
According to the statement, Afghan Special Forces in a special operation raided a number of prisons in Baghlan province, during which at least 34 people were freed from grasp of the Taliban insurgents.
Amongst the prisoner were seven National Army, seven National Police, three Security Forces, and 17 civilians.
It comes at a time security officials tighten up their operation in several parts of the country, in a bid to secure the provinces and free innocent people.
Taliban so far did not comment on the incident.
