FARAH, GHOOR (The Killid) – Residents fear loss of Farah and Ghoor provinces in west of the Afghanistan into Taliban’s hand, as war in the zone intensified in recent months.
Fazl ul Haq Ehsan, Head of the Provincial Council, dubbed the city and several districts in the province brittle.
Hassan Hakimi, a civil activist in the province, expressed concerns saying, “Center and eight districts in the province are in the brink of collapse. Herat-Ghoor highway and other highways that connects at least six districts, are mostly controlled by Taliban.
Meanwhile, Shah Mahmood Naemi, Deputy to Provincial Governor, said to The Killid, “Security posts in East, North and Northwest of the province are in extreme threat of Taliban.”
According to Naemi, Khak Safed, Gulistan, Bakwah and Shebko districts of the province are under control of Taliban.
Local authorities refused to comment on the regards.
