BALKH (The Killid) – At least seven Taliban insurgents are killed during an attack they carried against Afghan security forces post in Shuhab square of Dowlat Abad district in the northern province, authorities said.
Moneer Ahmad Farhad, Spokesman for the Provincial Governor, said to The Killid, “During the clashes seven Taliban insurgents were killed, and the war inflicted heavy loss to the Taliban.”
Afghan security forces did not suffer any loss during the battle, he added.
Meanwhile, the 209th Shaheen Corps in a statement said they will double facilities for check points and security posts at most insecure areas in the province.
It comes at a time security forces carried several operations in areas dominated by armed insurgents, and been largely pacified recently.
Taliban so far did not comment on the incident.
