FARYAB (The Killid) – The Taliban self-proclaimed Deputy Governor for Khowaja Sabz Posh district Haji Mohammad Amin in northwestern province of Faryab was killed in an airstrike carried by the coalition forces at Shash Tapa of the district, provincial authorities said.
At least 10 government opposition group were also killed and further three were wounded during the clashes.
Karim Yourish, spokesperson for the local police, said to The Killid, “The attack was carried against a number of key Taliban members gathered last evening (Sunday).”
Faryab security officials dubs Amin a key Taliban member, who has been playing outstanding role in various terrorist attacks against Afghan security forces, mainly in Andkhoy, Dowlat Abad, Sherin Tagab and Pashtoon Kot districts of the province.
Taliban so far did not comment on the incident.
