Paktika (The Killid) – At least 29 armed Taliban insurgents were killed and wounded during clashes in southeastern province, Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement.
According to the statement, Afghan Special Forces carried an operation Saturday night at Ali Mast district of Barmal, during which at least 10 Taliban were killed and further three were arrested.
Security officials also nabbed five suspects during the operation, the sources said.
Meanwhile, during a separate operation in Giyan district of Paktika province, at least 16 Taliban, including their local commander, were killed, and further three were wounded.
Taliban did not comment on the incident.
