Pak-Afghan to Hold Talks on Security Situations

Islamabad will host a meeting between top Afghan and Pakistani security officials within the week to discuss joint cooperation concerning security threats and counterterrorism.

According to sources, National Security Advisor Hamdullah Mohib will be the lead for Afghan delegates during the meeting due on Tuesday, May 28.

Meanwhile, he will discussed Afghan President Ashraf Ghani’s official trip to Islamabad with Pakistani officials.

It comes after Prime Minister Imran Khan in a phone call invited Ghani to Islamabad in May, which the president accepted.

Pakistani media reported the visit to be held in June.

However, Afghan government so far did not comment on the official trip to Islamabad.
