Zabul (The Killid) – At least four Pakistani military forces were killed and further seven wounded in clashes with Afghan custom police at the borderline in the Shamlzai district of Zabul province, authorities said.
Gen. Taden Khan, the Kandahar security chief, said in a tweet Afghan custom forces were deployed at the borderline in Shamlzai district of Zabul province to prevent installation of barbed wire by Pakistani forces at the area, and faced ambushed attack by government opposition group.
According to Khan, amid clashes with the group, war engulfed between the Pakistani and Afghani forces, which lasted from 9pm until 3am.
He said that Pakistani forces fired rockets sporadically to Afghan territory, wounding at least 12 civilians.
Khan further said that beside the Pakistani victims, two of their vehicles have also been wrecked during clashes.
