Faryab (The Killid) – Security officials arrested at least three purported kidnappers Monday in neighboring Arabkhana city of Maimana in northwestern province of Afghanistan, local authorities confirmed.
Karim Yourish, spokesman for the provincial police, said to The Killid, “Head of the group Khan Mohammad two days ago plotted a plan to kidnap a four-year-old child; his two members got arrested before they succeed. But the leader escaped.”
However Mohammad could not run any further away, as he was nabbed by the local police Monday afternoon, according to sources. Authorities used technologies spotting him through signals of his mobile phone.
Sources said, the victim’s family has sustainable economy and has been targeted for money, but the authorities, in cooperation with residents, helped foil the alleged planned attempts.
