Jawzjan (The Killid) – National Defense Security forces in an operation nabbed a Taliban designated district governor Mowlawi Obaidullah in Sheberghan city of Northern province, local authorities said in a statement.
Mowlawi Obaidullah (also known as Hanafi) – a self-proclaimed governor for Faizabad district of Jawzjan province – were arrested by a NDS special forces, as he was in an attempt to carry terrorist attack within the city, according to the statement.
It comes amid efforts by the national security forces to completely eradicate terrorists still in the country, who on a daily bases claim lives of dozens in mainly Northern provinces.
