Faryab (The Killid) – While poverty and depression pressure families generally in the country, an elderly confirmed death as he committed suicide hanging himself at his residence in Dowlat Abad district in Northwest Afghanistan, local authorities said.
Karim Yourush, Spokesman for the provincial police, said the victim – with his only two sons working in Iran – has been left behind in the country for a certain period of time in his residence at Qozi Bai Qala district of Dowlat Abad in Faryab province.
According to Yourish, poverty and loneliness were the driving factors for his commitment to the suicidal act, leading him to death by hanging himself at his garage.
The body has been found Saturday by the local residents in the neighborhood.
