Sar-e-Pul (The Killid) – At least one Afghan National Security Forces member was killed and nine further wounded in clashes with Taliban insurgents at Suq Bel and Bughari of central Sar-e-Pul province, local authorities said.
Zabiuallah Ammani, Spokesperson for the Provincial Governor, told The Killid, “Armed insurgents last night [Sunday night] have attacked public security post at Suq Bel, as well as National Police and Public Uprising Forces posts at Baghawi in center of Sar-e-Pul province.”
According to Ammani, local security forces have retaliated, claiming two of armed militants and wounding five further.

Taliban since last two days have been carrying heavy attacks on central province, mainly in Sancharack, Sayad and Gosfandi districts that caused a widespread concerns amongst residents.
Meanwhile, residents have warned authorities of losing uncountable areas of the province, while urging for backups to ward off the militants from the districts.
