The Independent Election Commission Tuesday released the final results of parliamentary elections for five further provinces, which comes weeks after the new Commissioners sworn in to lead one of country’s outstanding bodies – the IEC and IECC.
The results coming out includes: Ghor, Balkh, Paktia, Herat and Badghis provinces, which comes months after the poll including complications over alleged fraud and widespread irregularities.
Addressing a press conference on the occasion, the new IEC Chairperson Hawa Alam Nuristani said the results of other provinces and the Kuchis (nomads) community will be announced within the next few days.
Meanwhile, from the Sikh minority community, Narendra Singh Khalsa secured a seat in the parliament.
The parliamentary elections were held last year on October 20.
According to Nuristani, following are the candidates whose names have been included in the final list of the parliamentary elections results.
Ghor Province: Ibrahim Malikzadah, Atta Mohammad Dehqanpor, Gul Zaman Nayeb, Fatima Kohistani, Roqia Nayil
Herat Province: Habiburrahman Pedram, Mohammad Reza Khoshak Watandost, Omar Naseer Mojadedi, Mohammad Sadiq Qaderi, Ghulam Farooq Majroh, Hamidullah Hanif, Munawwar Shah Bahaduri, Hajji Shah Popal, Sayed Azim Kibirzani, Nazeer Ahmad Hanafi, Ghulam Farooq Nazari, Sayed Taha Sadiq, Rahima Jami, Massouda Karokhi, Nahid Fareed, Simeen Barakzai, Shahnaz Ghawsi
Balkh Province: Ghulam Abbas Ibrahimzada, Ahmad Shah Ramazan, Alam Khan Azadi, Abdul Hamid Sharifi, Sayed Zahir Masroor, Mohammad Ali Mohaqiq, Gul Rahman Hamdard, Raees Abdul Baqi, Saifoora Niazi, Fawzika Hamidi, Breshna

The IEC has announced the result of the parliamentary elections for 22 provinces out of 34; the reaming is expected in near future.
