Faryab (The Killid) – At least five militants, including their commander, have been killed in several battles with Afghan security forces at Qesa and Khowaja Sabzposh districts of Farah province, local authorities said in a statement.

The statement added eight further members of the group who are badly wounded in the crashes.

Mohammad Hanif Razae, spokesman to 209th Shaheen Corps, said to the Killed, “Four insurgents have been killed and three other injured in clashes between the Afghan security forces and the Taliban militants.”

Razae, meanwhile, added that in another special operation by Afghan forces, a key Taliban commander – including his six members – have been wounded.

Local security authorities also added that a huge number of guns and ammo have been seized.

However, the Taliban did not comment on casualties inflicted to its group.
