Taliban Set Samangan Security Post on Fire

Samangan (The Killid) – Taliban militants set a security post at Dare Sof Payan (the lower valley) province of Samangan on fire, as they carried a group attack in Northern Afghanistan, said provincial authorities.

Samangan (The Killid) – Taliban militants set a security post at Dare Sof Payan (the lower valley) province of Samangan on fire, as they carried a group attack in Northern Afghanistan, said provincial authorities.

According to sources, at least four Afghan security forces have been killed and two other wounded in the clashes with the Taliban militants.

Taliban has captured two local police officers, while one other reported lost after the incident.

Haji Raz Mohammad, Samangan provincial council head, told the Killid, “The attack on “Uzbek Peera” security post in Dara Sof Payan district has been carried at around midnight yesterday. Then the Taliban set the post on fire,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Taliban claimed they have seized a large number of guns and ammunitions of Afghan forces in the clashes.

It comes after the Taliban carried several other attacks at Dare Sof Balla and Dare Sof Payan (upper and lower valley) recently, killing at least one security forces and wounding four other.
