United States Security Advisor John Bolton says, in connection to its anti-terrorist operations, Washington will hold a number of troops in Afghanistan and will not trust Taliban blindly.

Bolton, in an interview with CNN, said peace in Afghanistan is an important issue for Washington; and president Trump emphasizes on its significance.

Discussions are underway in this regard, advisor Bolton exclaimed. The United States is working to advance its diplomatic efforts while pursuing its anti-terrorist missions.

It comes after the Taliban released a statement saying, the US and Taliban are likely to come up to an agreement on foreign forces withdrawal from Afghanistan within ongoing week.

According to sources close to Taliban, the United States said it would withdraw its forces from Afghanistan within a period of 3-5 years, while the Taliban declining the demand urges that Washington should withdraw its troops within next six months.

Doha talks will end today if both parties will come up to a certain conclusion. The talks will continue until the end of this week otherwise.
