Jowzjan (The Killid) – Afghan Air Force and Army during a special operation at Mimlak district of Faizabad defeated armed insurgent, provincial security officials in North said.
Mohammad Hanif Razae, spokesman to the 209th Shaheen Corps, said to the Killid, “At least 18 Taliban insurgent, including their general commander Muwlawi Zarif, are killed in Faizabad district, during operation which started at 4 a.m. today. Ten further wounded in the clashes.
Afghan security forces have also seized some large number of guns and ammunitions.
Taliban group have so far not commented in the incident.
