Balkh (The Killid) – At least eight Taliban armed insurgent killed and five other wounded in clashes between the militant group and Afghan security forces at Baba Qashqar and Yangi Qala districts, the 209th Shaheen Corps said in a statement.
Meanwile, the statement said eight further Taliban members, including their commander Mullah Faizurahman, have been killed during another armed battle with local security forces.
At least 13 insurgent, including their key team leader Mullah Hafiz, has been wounded, the statement further said. Afghan security forces seized some of their weapons and ammunitions.
Taliban so far has not commented on the claim.
