North Afghanistan (The Killid) – At least eight armed insurgents are killed and three other wounded during a number of operations carried by the Afghan security forces in Balkh, Jawzjan, and Sar-e-Pul provinces in north Afghanistan, Local security officials said.
Mohammad Hanif Razae, spokesman to the 209th Shaheen Corps, said to the Killid, “During two separate aerial operations at Char Bolak and Chamtal districts of Balkh province, six armed insurgents have been killed and two other wounded.”
According to Razae, some of their motorbikes have also been wrecked during the operations.
Meanwhile, the Afghan security forces have carried several other operations in Jawzjan and Sar-e-Pul provinces; two armed oppositions are claimed in the clashes.
Razae added that two of their shelters are ruined during the aerial strikes at Taghai Khoja districts of Sar-e-Pul province.
It comes after the 209th Shaheen Cops, in coordination with local security officials, carried several operations dubbed as “Waleed 36”, “Waleed 37” and “Waleed 38” in at least five Northern provinces of Afghanistan during the past two weeks.
These special operations have so far retrieved a number of areas fallen into the hand of Taliban, including their lives claimed in clashes.
