Sar-e-Pul (The Killid) – Clashes between the Afghan forces and armed insurgents claimed at least two and wounded seven others insurgents at Sancharak district of Sar-e-Pol, local security officials confirmed.
Amongst the wounded are a self-proclaimed Sancharak district governor Muwlawi Noor ul-Haq (Taliban member) and their training officer Mullah Noor Ahmad (known as Khalid), who are captured by the police during “Waleed 38” operation at Sancharak district.
Mohammad Hanif Razae, spokesman to the 209th Saheen Corps, said to the Killid, “After carrying such an operation, the Bazar Taghai Khoja and Yang Jeg areas are now cleared of armed insurgents.”
According to Razae, the security officers could discover and neutralize five mines laid by the Taliban in the area.
Sources says, about hundreds of families are displaced to central province due to security forces arm-operations called the “Waleed 38”.
Sources further says the “Waleed 38” is carried by Afghan security forces to free far distant areas from Taliban hands.
