Senior US general said the Daesh militant group still have the potential to attack foreign and local forces in Afghanistan, which he cited as serious threat.
General Joseph Votel, Central Commander of the US forces, in an interview with CNN said the Daesh militants, who use social network to access foreign forces, are a huge threat to them in Afghanistan.
United States believes that Daesh militants gather information on social media and use against us by conspiring attack on our forces, General Joseph added.
General Joseph warned that Daesh activities need to be given serious attention because they pose a dangerous threat to our forces.
It comes amid ongoing peace talk with the Taliban group that attracted international audience more recently. The next round for peace talks between the Taliban members and US delegation is scheduled upcoming week in Doha, Qatar.
