Kandahar (The Killid) – At least two men killed in a mine explosion in Kandahar province while embedding it at a local cemetery, security officials said.
Provincial commander, General Taden Khan said the incident occurred last evening on Monday in Arghandab district of Kandahar province when two men were embedding mine.
According to Khan, the two victims were killed by the same mine they intended to set at local graveyard.
Motivation for such a conspiracy is not clear, he added. But government armed opposition groups may have hand behind.
No group has, so far, claimed responsibility over the attack.
