Zalmay Khalilzad, US diplomat and Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation at the State Department has just started series of his official trips to Belgium, Germany, Turkey, Qatar, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
According to a statement, Khalilzad will discuss Taliban peace negotiation with officials of these countries.
It comes after Doha talks last month, where Khalilzad and Taliban members have discussed on peace in Afghanistan; he expressed hope on achieving positive results before the next presidential election in July.
Meanwhile, Zalmay Khalilzad, some Taliban delegations and senior Afghan politicians had come together in Moscow last week negotiating peace to eventually put an end on 17-year conflict in Afghanistan.
Taliban, so far, refused to have peace talks with Afghan government.
