Baghlan – At least 11 local police officers were killed in a clash with insurgents on Monday night in central Baghlan province.
According to local authorities in Baghlan, 11 officer were killed and 3 other wounded following an armed opposition strike with insurgents.
Mohammad Haqmal, spokesman for Baghlan governor, said. “On Monday, a group of armed insurgents attacked the local police post at Jangal Bagh, Baghlan, where the battle continued until 4:00am of the next day.”
During the clash four Taliban insurgents were also killed and three others were wounded, Haqmal added.
Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
