President Ghani Asks Religious Scholars to Raise Voices Against Corruption

President Ashraf Ghani has asked the religious scholars to raise their voices against corruption in an anti-corruption conference.

Addressing delegates at the two-day anti-corruption conference of the Ulema Council, Ghani said the existence of a small corruption group caused Afghanistan introduces as a corrupted country to the world.

President urged the religious scholars to fight against corruption through mosques and uplifts.

“All Afghan people are not corrupted. There is only a small group of corruption that should be prevented,” he said.

The two-day anti-corruption conference ended with issuing a statement by the participants about fighting against the phenomenon.
