Helmand Peace Activists Set Up Sit-In Tent outside British Embassy

The members of Helmand peace convoy started a sit-in outside the British embassy in Kabul on Saturday after ending a similar sit-in near the Iranian embassy.

After three days of sit-in protest near the Iran embassy, the peace activists in a letter called on Iranian people to persuade their government to stop supporting terrorists and interfering in Afghanistan’s affairs.

The Helmand peace convoy press officer, Besmillah Watandost told Killid that the sit-in protest in front of the British embassy will be continued for an unknown time.

‌‌Besmillah added that the UK government provokes divisions among tribes and followers of different religions in Afghanistan and they urge the British people to prevent them.

The Helmand peace convoy has set up sit-in tents in front of the UN office, U.S., Russia and Pakistan embassies in Kabul so far.
