Taliban Attack Ghazni’s Deh Yak, Jaghatu, Clashes Ongoing

Local police officials in Ghazni said today that Taliban attacked Deh Yak and Jaghatu districts of the province last night and heavy clashes are ongoing.

Taliban Attack Ghazni’s Deh Yak, Jaghatu, Clashes Ongoing
Afghan Commandos from the Sixth Commando Kandak practices infiltration techniques using the Afghan National Army Air Corps Mi-17 helicopter on April 1 at Camp Morehead in the outer regions of Kabul. The training was in preparation for future air assault missions needed in order to disrupt insurgent activity and bring stability to the population and the region.

Local police officials in Ghazni said today that Taliban attacked Deh Yak and Jaghatu districts of the province last night and heavy clashes are ongoing.
Aref Rahmani, an MP for Ghazni, said, “The situation of Jaghatu and Deh Yak districts are worrying”, adding that “the Deh Yak police headquarters is on the verge of collapse.”
“A number of security forces have been killed due to ongoing clashes in the districts,” Rahmani said, “Deh Yak police chief and another police security official were killed in the clashes.”
The local police officials have also confirmed the death of the police officials, adding that heavy clashes continue in the districts.
Taliban attacked Ajristan district of the province two days ago and government deployed commandos who pushed back the group.
Recently, Taliban targeted a number of districts in the province in which dozens of security forces members were killed or injured in the attacks.
