At least six Taliban insurgents including a group commander Qari Amrullah were killed and four injured during clash with Afghan security forces in Ghormach district of Faryab province.
The 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan Military in the North said that the clash took place yesterday in centre of the district.
The source added an Afghan soldier was also wounded during the clash.
According to the Shaheen Corps of the Afghan military, the ordinary civilians and local residents did not suffer any casualty.
Taliban insurgents have not commented regarding the report so far.
