Local officials in Khost province said clashes are underway between the Afghan and Pakistani forces along the Durand Line near Zazai Maidan district.
Acting provincial police chief Abdul Hanan confirmed that the clash broke out earlier today and the two sides are still engaged in exchange of fire.
He added that four Pakistani militants were killed and one injured.
He further stated that two Afghan security members were also killed.
He said the clashes broke out after the Pakistani forces attempted to cross the zero point along the Durand Line and faced resistance from the Afghan forces.
