A madrassa in Dasht-e-Archi in Kunduz province was targeted at about 12:00 pm on Monday in an Afghan air forces’ airstrike.
Sources in Kunduz said that over 25 people were killed and wounded.
Provincial police spokesman confirmed the incident and said a high-ranking Taliban official from the Quetta Shura, Mullah Beryani, had also been present at the time of the airstrike.
Meanwhile district governor of Dasht-e-Archi told Killid that some 100 people were killed in the strikes.
Taliban militants are yet to comment.
