Ataullah Khogyani, spokesman for Nangarhar governor, told Killid that nine Daesh militants were killed and four injured in a military operation codenamed ‘Selab 4/9’ over the past 24 hours in parts of Khogyani district.
He added that Nadafan, Dago, Merzakhail, and Rahbarkle areas were cleared of Daesh.
Meanwhile officials in the province claimed that 52 Taliban fighters including prominent commanders were killed in Afghan Special Forces’ operation over the past five days in Hasarak district.
Daesh and Taliban are yet to comment on both incidents.
