Security officials in north of the country reported that 48 Taliban insurgents were either killed or injured in Kunduz province.
A press release from Pamir 20 Division in north of Afghanistan stated that the joint military operations were conducted over the past 24 hours in the province.
The statement added that 31 Taliban insurgents were killed and 17 injured in Imam Saheb district.
The statement further stated that two prominent commanders of the group named as Maulavi Musa and Gulbuddin were among those killed.
Taliban militants are yet to comment.
