Security officials in north zone reported that three suicide bombers were arrested in Badakhshan.
A press release from Shaheen 209 Corps, stated that the bombers were arrested in Dasht-e-Oche area of Baharak district.
The statement added that three suicide vests were also recovered from the men.
The statement further stated that in a separate incident, five Taliban insurgents were killed in a clash with Afghan security forces in Dawlat Abad district of Faryab province last night.
Taliban militants are yet to comment.
