At least three children suffered injuries in a landmine explosion in Greshk district of Helmand province yesterday.
The Greshk administrative chief, Mohammad Salim Rodi, said the incident occurred yesterday evening in Hawz Khoshk area where the children were grazing cattle.
The victims were around 10-years-old. Two of them lost legs to the blast and the third suffered superficial wounds.
The children received first aid at Greshk Hospital before being sent to the Emergency-run hospital in Lashkargah, the provincial capital, for further treatment.
Officials at the Emergency-run hospital confirmed they were delivered three minors from Greshk. However, they said nothing about their condition.
