Local officials in Kandahar reported that seven civilians were killed and two others injured in a roadside blast yesterday.
The blast happened at around 5:30 pm in the area between Marouf and Arghistan districts.
Police spokesman Zia Durrani said the blast hit a vehicle in which people from one family were traveling. He added police arrived at the site of blast and evacuated the injured people to the hospital.
Taliban militants are yet to comment.
