Khashroad District Governor Killed in Taliban Ambush

Ahamd Arab, spokesman for Nimroz governor, said that Mohammad Hashim Noorzahi, district governor of Khashroad district, was killed in a Taliban ambush in Halilai area of the district yesterday evening.
Arab added that Noorzahi’s vehicle hit a roadside mine and later was shot by Taliban.
He added that Noorzahi’s vehicle was destroyed but there was no civilian casualties.
Taliban militants are yet to comment.
