Local officials in Kunar said that the Pakistani military fired at least 130 mortar shells into the province from across the Durand Line over the past 24 hours.
Abdul Ghani Mosamim, spokesman for Kunar governor, told Killid that the affected districts are Nari, Dangam, and Shultan.
He added that one of the shells landed at a civilian house in Sawano area of Dangam district, completely destroying the house. A man was also injured in the incident.
He further stated that the shelling also killed the cattle and destroyed farm lands in some areas.
The Pakistani forces have continued sporadic shelling of different border provinces of Afghanistan over the past few years.
