Wakhan’s district police chief was arrested by police on charges of accepting bribes.
A source, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said that Najibullah Hajizada, police chief of Badakhshan’s Wakhan, was detained yesterday.
Meanwhile Mohammad Nabi Bayan, security head of Badakhshan police, said that Hajizada had a case in the court and thus he was summoned to the court in connection with his case.
Bayan added that the prosecutor issued a detention warrant for Hajizada and he is now kept in police detention.
