Mohammad Fazel Afef Jamshidi, member of Herat provincial council, along with his bodyguard was killed by unknown gunmen this afternoon.
Mohammad Rafiq Sherzai, spokesman for Herat zonal hospital, told Killid that Jamshidi’s body was brought to the centre around 2:30 pm today.
Sherzai added that other bodyguard of Jamshidi was injured in the incident.
Meanwhile Herat police also confirmed killing of the provincial council member.
No group has claimed responsibly.
