Gen. Delawar shah Delawar, chief of Faryab Police, said that Afghan security forces reopened Maimana-Jawzjan highway after five-day of severe clashes.
He added that 15 Taliban insurgents were killed and 30 injured during the air and ground operations conducted by Afghan security forces.
He further stated that a public uprising member was killed and two security personnel were injured.
Meanwhile reporters said that eight Afghan soldiers were injured.
