7 Girls’ Schools Remain Closed in Badghis

Officials in Badghis education department said that seven girls’ schools have been closed due to insecurity in the province.
Abdul Qayoum Sajid, provincial education director, told Killid that 476 schools are functional in the province six of which have remained closed in Balamurghab district and one in Moqor district as result of insecurity.
He added that the schools are in areas under Taliban control.
According to the figures from the provincial education department, 2,760 students are enrolled at schools in the province.
