Local officials in Samangan said that an 18-year old girl ended her life by eating a drug yesterday.
Sayed Wali, Hazrat Sultan District police chief, said the incident happened in Ghaznagak area of the district.
Wali added that the father of the girl lives in Pakistan and police have launched an investigation.
Meanwhile Shah Mahmoud, grandfather of the girl, told police that they do not have personal enmity with anyone.
