Local officials in Farah reported that 24 Taliban insurgents were killed and four injured in two separate operations conducted by security forces in Balablok and Poshtroad districts.
Iqbal Baher, spokesman for Farah police, told Killid that 20 Taliban insurgents were killed and four injured in Afghan security forces’ airstrikes in Belandi area of Poshtroad.
He added that four Taliban fighters were also killed in Deh Eshq area of Balablok.
Taliban militants are yet to comment on the statement.
