At least 13 policemen were killed in a clash with Taliban militants in Khanabad district of Kunduz.
Hayatullah Amiri, Khanabad district governor, said that Taliban militants stormed security checkpoints in Adam Khan area at around 3 am on Saturday night. He said 13 policemen were killed in the attack.
“A total of 14 policemen were present in the posts, one of them escaped and the rest were killed,” he said. Militants also took away a Humvee tank and weapons.
Taliban militants are yet to comment.
