Local officials in Maidan Wardak province said that seven Taliban insurgents were killed and five injured in air operations conducted by Afghan security forces in Deh Afghanan and Qala-e-Zeyarat area of the provincial capital.
Naqeb Amini, spokesman for Maidan Wardak police, told Killid that there were no casualties among Afghan security forces.
It is reported that over 50 Taliban insurgents were killed and injured in Afghan security forces’ operations last month in the province.
Taliban militants are yet to comment.
