Three religious scholars were gunned down by unknown armed men in Bora Ghan area of Qisar district of Faryab. Rahmatullah Qaisari, district governor of Qaisar, told media that the scholars were killed last night. He identified the scholars as Mulavi Mujeb, Mullah Saifullah, and Mullah Ghulam. The motive behind the incident is reported to be differences of opinion on religious issues and beliefs.
