President Ashraf Ghani presided over security meeting in ARG (Presidential Palace) yesterday evening. An ARG press release stated that Ghani praised Afghan National Defence and Security Forces (ANDSF) for great achievements over the past seven months. The statement added that the president instructed security institutions to crack down on insurgents in winter season. Ghani also praised Kabir Ahmad Barmak, chief of PD 5th, for seizing a lorry packed with explosives, averting a potentially deadly blast.
