Local officials in Nangarhar reported that nine Daesh militants including two commanders were killed in air and ground operations in Achin and Rodat districts. A press release from Nangarhar governor’ office stated that the air operations were conducted by foreign forces in Tanga area of Achin. The statement added that Afghan forces also conducted a ground operation in Zakhil area of Rodat. Daesh militants are yet to comment.
