Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah met with Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Deputy Ali Kafashian at the Sapidar Palace yesterday. A press release from Chief Executive’s Office quoting Kafashian stated that political interference in football should be prevented. The statement added that Abdullah assured AFC’s deputy he would not allow anyone to disturb sport entities particularly Afghanistan’s Football Federation. The AFC’s delegation visit to Kabul aims to evaluate Afghanistan’s Football Federation and the reasons behind delay in holding its elections. After ending the evaluation process, the delegation would present its report to AFC.
