Local officials in Herat said that Taliban insurgents shot dead five brothers in Ghoryan district. Jailani Farhad, provincial governor spokesman, told Killid that the incident happened in Chagardana area of the district. He added that the motive behind the incident is yet to be known. Herat police said that an investigation has been launched to probe the incident. Taliban militants are yet to comment.
